For preventative maintenance we recommend a seal coat for protection and appearance. Ideally, a seal coat should be applied during the summer months. Our Sealcoat professionals will keep your pavement looking new. We recommend a coal tar emulsion—a grit rubberized sealer—which will give your pavement a lot more years of life. Seal coating should be applied each year for maximum protection and appearance.
Keep all vehicles off the pavement for 24 hours. Pedestrian traffic is permitted.
On newly paved areas, and in hot weather, turning a steering wheel in place or on a curved area will cause tire marks. On occasion, just parking your car may cause tire marks in the hot weather.
On newly rolled asphalt pavement you may see roller lines; over time, they will wear in.
Avoid sharp objects as these will cause holes in your pavement.
Asphalt is a mixed material, consisting of sand, oil, and stones. It is not a perfectly smooth material and has a stony appearance. Therefore, Asphalt varies in texture in different areas; however, it will become uniform in time. Its composition will give you a strong and durable surface for many years to come.
Asphalt takes approximately three months to fully cure. We advice you use care on newly paved area until that time.
